Polar Park is a Triple-A affiliate minor league ballpark, home of the Worcester Red Sox. The ballpark is designed for a capacity of 10,000. Located near Kelly Square, in the heart of the city’s resurgent Canal District, it is anticipated to be a community hub for year-round use. It will include a function facility, restaurants, meeting rooms, retail spaces, suites, party rooms, pedestrian promenades, and family-friendly activities with state-of-the art technology and concert venues. The ballpark with its intimate and compact scale pays considerable attention to the unique character and rich history of the area. Its mostly steel exterior reflects and connects to Worcester’s industrial buildings from the past. The project debuted exactly on time for the 2021 season.
