The Block at Orange is an 800,000 SF Entertainment Retail center in Orange, California. DAIQ conceived the plan as two major “streets” anchored by five public “squares”. The Block creates a unique urban entertainment neighborhood with a variety of shopping and dining experiences taking full advantage of the opportunities provided by the climate and culture of southern California. The heart of the project is “restaurant row,” a narrow pedestrian street at the central axis of the project linking the primary entry plaza and the “great square” space framed by the cinema complex. Year-round cafe seating enlivens the street experience. The building architecture and exterior public area finishes designed by DAIQ are complemented by a creative graphics program and landscaping.
